Our Public Sector client is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team.
What we offer:Job Type: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP on an ongoing basis until March 2025
Pay Rate: $27/hr. - $30/hr. plus 4% vacation depending on experience
Shift: Monday–Friday, Days
Location of work: Hybrid – 3 days on site North York ON
- Must support in the administration, development, and maintenance of total rewards (compensation, pension, and benefits) programs.
- Must serve as the initial point of contact for general HR inquiries and provide support to programs and processes.
- Must manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process for Summer Student and Co-op Student Programs, including outreach to school and community partners.
- Must conduct pre- and post-onboarding activities with new hires and facilitate new hire onboarding procedures.
- Must support the configuration and maintenance of the HRIS.
- Must develop appropriate reports from the HRIS for corporate reporting and varying business needs.
- Must contribute to the development and implementation of various HR projects, policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Must manage HR records and general administration, including but not limited to drafting employment/verification, salary/reporting change letters, filing HR records according to Records and Information Management (RIM) standards.
- Must have Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- Must have obtained or working towards a CHRP/CHRL designation would be an asset.
- Must have 3+ years of practical experience working in a human resources role, preferably in a unionized work setting. Public sector experience is an asset.
- Must have experience working with HRIS/ATS and leveraging the reporting function with a general understanding of system configuration.
- Must have experience recruiting in corporate organizations with proficiency in behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and comfort with mathematical operations.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate information gathering and advise individuals of decisions or actions.
- Must have knowledge of applicable HR legislation, such as ESA, AODA, OHS, Human Rights, etc.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
