The Sales Representative owns the process of fulfilling customers' needs to achieve maximum sales volume in the sale of company products.

The Sales Representative is required to maintain professionalism when handling inbound and outbound communications, issues, or requests with current and prospective clients in parallel to developing new business relationships to grow the sales pipeline.

They are responsible for leveraging product offerings by researching market conditions, trends, and competition pricing to reinforce sales volume objectives set.

You will be required to identify and build strong relationships with strategic customers. You must be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company's solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction. The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to current and prospective clients to meet their needs on product by leveraging market insight and product knowledge
  • Accept inbound customer calls and handle all client inquiries in a courteous manner
  • Respond in a timely manner to client issues, escalations, requests, and questions, as well as provide regular and timely communications to clients
  • Prequalify prospective business partners and generate them as potential leads to grow the sales pipeline
  • Identify opportunities to upsell customers with product specific to their business
  • Provide price quotes and negotiate pricing within parameters
  • Execute administrative duties associated with the role, including order entries
  • Recognize and report market conditions, trends, and competition pricing
  • You will be required to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced work environment with changing priorities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • University / college degree or diploma from an accredited institution
  • At least two (2) years of sales, procurement, or customer service experience; experience within a machinery company is an asset; experience in technical service is an asset
  • Bilingual in French or Spanish is preferred
  • An understanding of the dynamics within the North American Machine industry
  • Proven experience working within a protein business is a strong asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral, with demonstrated expertise in interacting effectively to build rapport
  • Selfmotivated and resultsdriven to surpass goals, with a "cando" attitude
  • Good judgement and professionalism in dealing with current and prospective business partners, alongside internal team members
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and professionalism
  • Ability to work in a team and effectively work with team members across multiple business entities
  • Must possess a valid G driver's license

Reporting Relationship:

  • In your role, you will report to the Sales Manager as a member of the Sales team.

Working Conditions:

  • You will be required to work with team members across all areas of the business
  • This is a hybrid position; you will be required to come into Head Office one day per week
  • You may be required to travel as the business requires

Salary:
$17.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay
