  • As a benefits coordinator, you will be responsible for administering, managing, and communicating employee benefit programs within the organization. You will work closely with Human Capital team, insurance providers, and employees to ensure that benefits programs meet the needs of both the organization and its workforce. Your role will involve educating employees on available benefits, assisting with enrollment processes, resolving benefitrelated inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate employee eligibility according to criteria established in employee policies
  • Ensure compliance of memberships in the HRIS system (Workday)
  • Address employee questions regarding insurance coverage
  • Address employee queries regarding the pension plan
  • Coordinate insurance coverage for status changes, short and longterm absences with employee, manager, Human Capital partner and payroll team.
  • Make additions, terminations and modifications to employee files for group and reer insurance coverage, and provide the payroll team with a file of modifications;
  • Ensure compliance of insurance deductions with the Sunlife invoice on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure compliance of RRSP and DPSP contributions on the Sunlife platform;
  • Validate group insurance invoices issued and follow up on modifications;
  • Validate that group insurance deductions are in accordance with invoices issued;
  • Prepare and process invoices for the various associated programs
  • Health Care Account, EAP, etc
  • Participate, in collaboration with the Global Compensation and Human Capital team, in the establishment of a quarterly validation process for station employee eligibility.
  • Keep group insurance policies and procedures up to date, in particular the employee handbook and intranet
  • Collaborate in the renewal process of various programs
  • Identify financial risks and communicate them to the Global Compensation team

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years in a similar role; College diploma or equivalent work experience Bilingual (spoken and written); Team player; Sense of urgency and concern for the internal customer Autonomous and excellent organisational skills Detail Oriented
