The Legal Counsel, Enforcement Manager (LCEM) reports to the Associate Director, Legal, and is responsible for overseeing the Enforcement group of the legal department.
- Managing the Enforcement team by providing strategic advice, reviewing and advising on investigation plans, managing performance, coaching and mentoring, and offering general guidance on activities.
- Providing legal advice regarding Enforcement Files.
- Collaborating with external legal counsel on Enforcement Files.
A Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is required.
- Member of the Law Society of BC, or eligible for immediate membership.
- 5-7 years of experience in a law firm, government, or professional regulatory body, particularly in administrative law, civil litigation or related fields.
- 3+ years of management experience or equivalent experience overseeing staff, teams, or projects is preferred.

Individuals authorized by Engineers and Geoscientists BC are the only ones legally permitted to undertake and take responsibility for engineering and geoscience projects in BC.
Operating as a not-for-profit body governed by a board consisting of elected registrants, licensees, and government appointees.
The board is answerable to the public through the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills under the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance, overseeing both the governance and management of the organization.
