The Legal Counsel, Enforcement Manager (LCEM) reports to the Associate Director, Legal, and is responsible for overseeing the Enforcement group of the legal department.

  • Managing the Enforcement team by providing strategic advice, reviewing and advising on investigation plans, managing performance, coaching and mentoring, and offering general guidance on activities.
  • Providing legal advice regarding Enforcement Files.
  • Collaborating with external legal counsel on Enforcement Files.

A Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is required.

  • Member of the Law Society of BC, or eligible for immediate membership.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a law firm, government, or professional regulatory body, particularly in administrative law, civil litigation or related fields.
  • 3+ years of management experience or equivalent experience overseeing staff, teams, or projects is preferred.

Operating as a not-for-profit body governed by a board consisting of elected registrants, licensees, and government appointees.

The board is answerable to the public through the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills under the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance, overseeing both the governance and management of the organization.
