Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Child and Youth MHA Treatment Services, the Manager of Health Services supervises a team responsible for delivering direct patient care.
This role involves ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient health services. The Manager inspires and guides health services staff to adopt patient-centered care pathways and service delivery models.
Responsibilities include operational management focused on service delivery, collaboration with stakeholders, and monitoring key performance indicators to maintain high-quality client care.
The incumbent will oversee the Rural and Northern Telehealth Service (RNTS) and the Provincial Crisis Response and Consultation Service.
The RNTS provides specialized services to children and youth in First Nations communities facing emotional and psychiatric challenges. Additionally, the Manager will be involved in developing the new Provincial Crisis Response and Consultation Service.
Applicants should possess knowledge of First Nations communities, cultures, and government structures. Some travel, including visits to First Nations communities, is required.
Experience:- Experience working cross-culturally.
- Understanding of First Nations communities, cultures, and the impact of colonization on service provision.
- Experience with Traditional healing practices is beneficial.
- Postsecondary degree/diploma in a relevant health discipline.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Active member of a relevant regulatory body.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of professional regulatory requirements and relevant legislation.
