Senior HCM and Payroll Functional Analyst

HCM & Payroll Functional Analyst to join Aecon.

Works closely with the business process leads and end users to understand project and enhancement requirements,

Works with other functional team members, as well as with the development team in design, build, and implementation of functionality to satisfy business requirements.

Work with the Solution architect to ensure that the specific functionality compliments the overall technical vision for a particular solution.

Create functional specifications and assist with technical specification.
Work with the Technical / Development team to deliver functional system enhancements.
Create or provide input for the creation of required training materials as needed.
Act as liaison with internal clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems for production incidents.
Document and execute Unit Testing and System Integration testing.
Coordinate with the QA Lead and QA Team to ensure appropriate QA testing.
Provide support and expertise after go-live of the initial rollout projects.
Ensure current-day best-practices are followed for the application and or underlying infrastructure (Servers, Databases, security etc.)
Work closely and productively with application support/implementation vendor for day-to-day work or any other work.
Participate in Internal, Customer and Regulatory Audits if required.
Preparing documentation and training materials as needed
Strong multitasking skills with ability to manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.

5 to 10 years' experience with configuration in HCM & Payroll functional area
University Degree in Computer Science or related area from an accredited institution.
Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet to address urgent payroll-related issues efficiently.
Construction industry experience is an asset.
Proficient with Microsoft suite products
Helping educate end users on alternatives for system configuration and design.
Ensuring the quality of deliverables meet expectations.
Acting as a subject matter expert on project

SAP HCM (Human Capital management)
The role requires expertise in SAP Payroll, Time Management, Benefits, and interface building experiences. Hands on experience in these areas, preferably with at least 2 end-to-end implementation and support projects.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of Canadian payroll Tax rules and regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing.

Configure and customize PCRs within the SAP system to meet specific Canadian payroll requirements, such as deductions, taxes, and benefits calculations.
