ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Comply and enforce Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices.
  • Perform general cleanup of all facilities.
  • Sweep, mop, floors, dump garbage and recycle bins.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery as required.
  • Perform regular property inspections of common areas, building exteriors, and landscape.
  • Ensure effective management of maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, ventilation, heating, cooling and other daily activities.
  • Provide general status reports as necessary.
  • Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables.
  • Ensure 24/7 availability of emergency services.
  • Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.
  • Maintain working knowledge of environmental safeguards and alarm systems.
  • Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep, and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling systems).
  • Determine needed supplies and equipment.
  • Read equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations or material and report those and any unusual situations to supervisor.
  • Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and other scheduled work.
  • Prepare, paint, and decorate interior and exterior surfaces, as required.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Preload fuel trucks, as required
  • Other related duties as required or assigned.

EXPEREINCE
1+ years' experience in a previous labour role
