CADTH is now Canada's Drug Agency — a pan-Canadian health organization. We are an independent, not-for-profit organization headquartered in Ottawa, with a satellite office in Toronto.

Created and funded by Canada's federal, provincial, and territorial governments, we drive better coordination, alignment, and public value within Canada's drug and health technology landscape.

We provide Canada's health system leaders with independent evidence and advice so they can make informed drug, health technology, and health system decisions, and we collaborate with national and international partners to enhance our collective impact.

We are proud to be a 2024 National Capital Region Top Employer.

This recognition celebrates our dedication to fostering a work environment that nurtures growth; innovation; and inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA).

It reaffirms our ongoing efforts to create an outstanding workplace where our employees thrive and feel valued.

Primary Focus

On May 1, 2024, CADTH transitioned to become Canada's Drug Agency, building on the Government of Canada's December 18, 2023, and February 29, 2024, announcements.

- identify and establish a network of individual experts and key organizational contacts to create and identify synergies to support the advancement of system coordination
- support the deep dive of an issues resolution team, including understanding how to leverage the expertise of partner organizations and build a shared understanding of the problem and timeline required to come to a resolution while creating a sense of urgency to deliver results
- collaborate with other employees, including corporate services and those leading appropriate prescribing use and data and analytics functions, to develop an initial evaluation framework and build on it over time to understand the impact of this new work area for the organization.

Is this the right role for you?

The Research Analyst, System Coordination will likely have:

  • relevant health science undergraduate degree, coupled with no less than 4 years of experience performing work of a similar nature, is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- advanced understanding of complex systems issues analysis and communications expertise, with the ability to communicate clearly and in a way that targets the audience

- knowledge of health care systems in Canada with an understanding of the relationship our organization has with its funders and health partners
- a strong understanding of how to critically appraise grey and published literature
- the ability to establish effective working relationships with various groups, committees, and partners (internally and externally); the ability to connect with ease and build a coalition of the willing
