Headquartered in Montreal, Behaviour has more than 1,300 employees worldwide with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Seattle (Midwinter Entertainment), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK–North & South). These teams focus on the creation, development, and maintenance of Behaviour-owned IPs such as Dead by Daylight and Meet Your Maker and other unannounced titles in development.

Behaviour is looking for a versatile in-game Senior VFX Artist for an upcoming project. This role will require the candidate to work on all elements needed to bring polish to both UI feedback and in-game environment and actions. Under the guidance of the Art Director and using references created by an illustrator, the Senior VFX Artist will be adding natural and unnatural phenomena FXs, as well as participate in the creation of textured models, scene lighting and post-process. They must also be able to understand and follow technical restrictions and be able to adhere to tracking tools and the pipeline structure. They must be flexible and accept the changes that occur during game production
Createand integratein-game UI feedback VFX,all environmental VFX, all characters VFX andall gameplay eventsVFX;
Bring to life both design and art direction visions to flesh out the game experience;
Help outUI artists withfullscreenvisual effects;
Act as a bridge between design/art/tech to find the best way to implement visual feedback for gameplay mechanics;
Skilled in 3D polygon modelling, UV mapping, texturing and lighting;
~ Knowledge of different game enginesan asset ;
~ You are comfortable communicating and drafting documents in French and English (the vast majority of contracts are in English).

Profiler tout le système de particules et shaders et les optimiser pour maximiser la performance;
Donner vie aux visions du design et de la direction artistique pour renforcer l'expérience de jeu;
Agir comme pont entre les départements design/art/tech afin de trouver les meilleures façons de convier des renforts visuels aux mécaniques de jeu.
5 ans d'expérience comme artiste VFX dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo;
~Connaissance de différents engins de jeux un atout;
~ Vous êtes à l'aise de communiquer et rédiger des documents en français et en anglais (la majorité des contrats étant en anglais).

Ce rôle demandera au candidat de travailler sur tous les aspects requis pour rehausser un environnement de jeu à un haut niveau de finition visuelle. Sous la supervision du Directeur Artistique et aidédes références crééespar nos illustrateurs, l'artiste VFX Sénior ·e ajoutera des FX de phénomènes naturels et non-naturels en plus de participer à la création de modèles texturés, d'éclairages de scènes et de réglages des post-process. Il ou elle devra comprendre et suivre les restrictions techniques et doit être capable d'adhérer aux méthodes de suivis des tâches et aux pipelines de production. Il sera aussi nécessaire qu'il ou elle soit flexible afin d'accepter les changements qui surviennent dans le cadre de la production du jeu.
Ce rôle fait partie de notre unité d'affaire qui travaille sur nos jeux originaux.
