The McGill University Department of Pathology and the Department of Laboratory Medicine in the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) are inviting applications for a full-time Contract Academic Staff position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical) based at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), Division of Dermatopathology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of pathologists and contribute to the renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant city of Montreal, Quebec.
- The successful candidate will participate in the diagnostic work of the Dermatopathology team at the Glen site.
- Collaborate with a group of pathologists at the MUHC Glen site, a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at McGill University.
- Contribute to the high-volume comprehensive Division of Dermatopathology, covering various specimens and diseases in close collaboration with the MUHC melanoma referral center.
Responsibilities
The appointed candidate will play a crucial role in the Dermatopathology team, involving diagnostic work, intraoperative consultations, on-call duties, and active participation in quality assurance programs. Additionally, they will be expected to engage in various academic activities at McGill University, including research, teaching, and supervision of students.
Requirements
- Hold an MD degree and licensure in Quebec.
- Certification in Anatomic Pathology.
- Completion of fellowship training in Dermatopathology.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, research, and collaboration.
- Bilingualism in French and English preferred.
