- Position: Teacher of Continuing Education
- Hours: 34 hours per week
The Teacher of Continuing Education at Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board will be responsible for supporting learners in a group setting to help them acquire the skills needed to reach their desired goals in education, employment, and independence. Using the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF), the instructor will deliver learner-centered programming based on adult education principles.
Preferred Requirements:
- Qualifications in Adult Education
- A member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
- Experience in facilitating literacy instruction
- Knowledge and experience with the OALCF
- Effective strategies for promoting communication and collaboration
- Instructional strategies and resources tailored to adult learners
- Understanding of practices affecting adult learning relationships
- Ability to design lessons catering to varied learner needs
- Experience with technology in instruction
- Special Education qualification (an asset)
- Commitment to program promotion and student recruitment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and planning skills
