Dopamina will be a Mediterranean Eurasian restaurant serving innovative tapas dishes. We are looking for goals oriented and highly driven and skilled staff to join our team.

Summary


This role is great for a goal driven and highly skilled Pastry Chef who is looking to join our team and work with the other chefs for an innovative Eurasian tapas cuisine.

Before opening, we are looking for someone who will assist in refining the dessert menu with the Head Pastry Chef.

After opening, the Pastry Chef will work hand in hand with the other chefs and help with day-to-day operations of the restaurant as well as collaborate with the FOH team to help execute the vision of the restaurant.


Key Responsibilities

  • Must have passion towards innovative culinary and dessert.
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry station, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Consistently display exceptional team spirit by providing a positive and engaging work environment, helping team members as appropriate and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach in a team.
  • Stay updated on current pastry trends and techniques, bringing new ideas to the menu.
  • Basic financial understanding, including managing food costs and controls, menu costing and productivity controls.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ordering.
  • Work in collaboration with the FOH management and staff to ensure the restaurant's vision is being achieved to provide an unprecedent experience to our guests.

Requirements:

  • 25 years experience as Pastry Chef or working with focus on dessert within a luxury/fine dining restaurant environment.
  • University or college degree in culinary field.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Food Handlers and Smart Serve.
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
