What you'll do

As the Manager of Media Strategy & Planning, you will lead media planning for all advertising campaigns run by CTC's retail media network, Triangle Retail Media (TRM). Your media planning expertise will be used to understand TRM's clients' goals and build campaigns that can exceed their performance expectations. You will lead a team of planners to build and set up the campaigns, as well as support generation of insights on performance metrics. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team to build advertising campaigns using TRM's onsite and offsite suite of products, setting up campaigns to reach TRM's clients objectives (e.g., awareness, conversion), including developing recommendations on budget allocation across ad products, building audience, and campaign flighting strategy
  • Working closely with the Activation team to ensure campaigns are executed as planned
  • Partnering closely with the Sales team to understand client needs and proactively recommending new campaign set-ups to reach their objectives
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to enhance campaign planning processes, methods, systems and/or services by defining standard operating procedures to better serve the business & our partners
  • Leveraging campaign planning tools to provide strategic direction on tactics in media plans
  • Presenting research, insights, campaign performance and recommendations to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Building and developing an integrated planning team accountable for leading the preparation, writing, and presentation of integrated media plans, proposals and analysis that satisfy client objectives
  • Working media partners (e.g., Meta, Google, Criteo, Pinterest, Flipp, 3rd party vendors) to refine TRM's strategic roadmap
  • Sharing case examples of campaign performance and aggregated performance trends in regular business reviews with key stakeholders

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in advertising campaign planning in the digital media/advertising industry, with a strong preference for experience in retail media networks
  • Deep knowledge of campaign planning tools and optimization strategies
  • Deep technical knowledge of campaign planning tools and optimization strategies in digital advertising with an excitement to produce meaningful insights, counsel and planning for our partners' business objectives
  • History of creating high ROAS media plans and targeting recommendations
  • People leadership skills with experience managing 2-3 junior planning team members
  • Critical thinking skills with an ability to tackle unique projects with a positive and problem-solving mindset
  • Fast learner with ability to establish relationships quickly and manage projects under pressure
  • Results and detail oriented, expects and requires innovation from their team
  • Bachelor's degree required
