Position Summary:
This is a HR Management Program co-op/intern position to assist with the flow of administrative tasks in the River Rock Casino Resort HR department (team of 7).
Main duties will involve recruitment, onboarding/offboarding coupled with data entry of HR personnel files into the local HRIS system.
This position works closely with the HR Coordinators on adhoc tasks and provides on-the-job experience of working in a Unionized work environment with approx.
Essential Functions:
- Enter all information from HR files into CONNECT HRIS system including personal information, medical information, GPEB numbers, Serving It Right numbers, FoodSafe certificates, Red Seal certificates, etc
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure all new employees are successfully onboarded
- Partner with site HR to ensure employee training and licensing requirements are met for different roles and job categories.
- Filing and organization of confidential HR personnel files
- Participate in Social event planning and strategy
- Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Minimum High School diploma plus must be currently studying Human Resources at a recognized educational facility in Canada.
Experience required: 1 year administrative experience an asset, strong computer skills to include Word and Excel, will be trained on HRIS on the job, must type a minimum 50 wpm, once hired a GPEB (Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch) clearance will be mandatory
