Norsat International Inc. is a leading provider of innovative satellite technology solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Business Operations Analyst Intern/ Co-op.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with general accounting functions, including journal entries and working papers in multiple currencies and reconciliations.
  • Support inventory cycle counts and audits.
  • Provide data for financial reporting.
  • Perform other accounting duties and special projects as required.
  • Support the finance team with data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Assist with human resources tasks, including new hire onboarding and employee data management.
  • Support the improvement of business processes and workflows.
  • File documents and answer employee inquiries.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive.
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent MS Office computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent problem and conflict solving skills; resourceful and proactive.
  • Commitment to product quality and delivery deadlines based on cost and time constraints.
  • Able to both train and learn from others.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, positive working attitude.
