Above all, you will connect with customers at all levels and quickly establish rapport and understanding of their key issues. You will be based out of our Vancouver, Canada office where you will liaise with customers and fellow team members from around the globe. You thrive on meeting new people and helping customers and of course closing deals.

What you need to do

You will cultivate business opportunities to exceed sales budgets. While you will rely on your interpersonal skills to get you connected with and know your potential customers you will be comfortable developing and delivering comparative studies, presentations, economic analyses, and proposals to close orders. While you take full responsibly for your customers, you will be fully supported by our strong engineering team and it is not critical to have in depth technical knowledge. Direct communication with customers is critical.

Career growth

Reporting to the VP Sales you will make a valuable contribution as a team player to the organization's success in developing opportunities and increasing sales. Initially, you will be responsible for developing business in the US and Canada though you will be exposed to and encouraged to participate in the global business. This full-time, permanent position requires energy, and enthusiasm with proven technical sales skills. The successful candidate will possess a "get it done" attitude with tenacity and resourcefulness to ensure that budgets are met or exceeded.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently meet or exceed sales budgets and coordinate/execute sales projects Identify and present technology value to potential customers Provide an uncompromised level of service to new and existing customers Establish and develop long-term relationships with clients Present proposals to negotiate and close orders Develop strong relationships with other members of the sales, marketing, and project teams and technical experts in order to address customer problems Other duties as deemed appropriate

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

Must have

The ability to engage with and build strong relationships with customers Proven track record in sales with the ability to shorten the sales cycle, close deals and meet or exceed demanding revenue budgets Demonstrable creativity in solving customer problems

Desirable to have

Technical degree such as graduate of engineering (metallurgical, chemical, industrial, environmental) or MBA or graduate of an Institute of Technology with experience in mining, metals, recycling, or wastewater treatment. Proven planning, organization, and data interpretation skills with the ability to deliver on a deadline International business development experience Ability to travel frequently with a fully unrestricted passport Experience with commercial negotiations and deals internationally Small team management experience Familiarity with commonly used CRM's (Hubspot an advantage) Proficiency with social media marketing and lead generation
