Position Summary:


Reporting to the Sales Manager or designate, the Retail Inside Sales Representative will be supporting retail sales efforts with customer ordering and service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily calls to customer base for orders, SPO orders and order entry.
  • Support Retail Sales Representatives with sell/spec sheets and inventory checks
  • Provide holiday relief for Retail sales representatives.
  • Entering Retail orders for a main retail chain.
  • Communicate with customers, make outbound calls to follow up on retail sales representative accounts
  • Stay informed about competing products and services.
  • Upsell products and services.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1 to 2 years of progressive sales experience in a similarsized operation; a combination of postsecondary education and experience will also be considered.
  • 1 to 3 years of related industry experience required.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, customers and colleagues.
  • Proficient at working on computers.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work both in and outside of an office setting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of online sales platforms is considered an asset.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce tools and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using social media for business purposes.
