About Us
Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean.

Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment.

Ocean Steel's two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of preemployment college program or equivalent experience
  • Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification (Block
  • Red Seal)
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in structural steel fabricating or welding
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
  • Experience with band saws, CNC punches, shears, CNC drill and burning machines
  • Thrive working in a teambased environment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and operate overhead crane would be considered a strong asset

  • The origins of the OSCO Construction Group go back to 1955 when Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. was founded in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Since that time, the OSCO Construction Group has grown to encompass four main operating sectors:
Steel, Concrete, Construction and Corporate.

Within these sectors lie an ever-expanding number of construction-related companies and divisions, serving a growing market area and employing over twelve hundred employees.
