Role Summary

Work alongside production manager & leadership team to help guide and support the production department while maintaining and building positive relationships with team members. Inspiring and motivating the team in a busy warehouse environment to ensure daily goals and targets are achieved.

Job Duties

Establish daily objectives and targets according to departmental forecasts Oversee and assist Shift leads and Production Specialists including coaching and development Mentor and develop staff, demonstrating the commitment to helping people succeed Demonstrate your commitment to employee engagement by deploying effective empowerment, feedback, coaching and development strategies for team members Monitor performance and conduct annual performance reviews and/ or performance improvement plans as required Monitor and assess Health and Safety best practices on the warehouse floor, ensuring highest levels of compliance among all staff Serve as a senior leader within the team, implementing standards to achieve company-wide goals Supervise with the flow of production operations within the facility Ensure orders for the day are processed, packed and prepared for shipping in accordance with manifests Ensure optimum shift productivity through communication and monitoring of KPI targets and results Support training and communication of SOPs to relevant employees as required Assist with the organization of staff training and development including equipment operating safety procedures Serve as liaison between the warehouse and other departments regarding promotions, special events, and other company initiatives that may affect, or require increased production Establish, communicate and assist with efficiency metrics to achieve maximum productivity in warehouse operations Find new and better ways to drive growth and profitability and build the capability, structure and culture required for innovation Other duties as required

Qualifications

5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse and logistics operations Excellent leadership qualities, including strong verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure Technical analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required Demonstrated ability and confidence to make process improvement decisions in real-time Confidence in Microsoft Excel, along with strong mathematical skills are required Strong interpersonal skills and able to motivate a team Ability to think strategically and high-level, and the ability to manage critical day-to-day details of the operation Ability to adjust goals and targets real-time in a fast-pace environment Passion for Health & Safety Knowledge of Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint an asset Work a flexible schedule when needed Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Physically able to work in a production environment
