Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Must have demonstrable experience operating a Skid Steer Loader in Winter Maintenance and/or Paving/Landscape settings;
  • Perform routine Circle Checks and top up Fluids and/or Fuel as necessary;
  • Follow a predetermined Route and Clear Snow from Commercial Properties for the remainder of the Winter Season, and assist in the Preparatory & Paving Works come Spring;
  • Accurately complete Route Log Sheets/Electronic Logs;
  • Communicate with fellow Crew Members and Office Dispatch via Two-Way Radio's to ensure expedient and efficient Service to all properties;
  • Ability to commit to working the remainder of the Winter Maintenance Season as required, (up to and including April 30, 2024), after which time the successful incumbent will automatically transfer in to a similar role on our Paving/Pavement Maintenance Crew;
  • Physicallyfit and capable of working outdoors in extreme temperatures (Cold & Hot) for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating equipment;
  • Ability to assist with Hand Shoveling & Ice Control of some Commercial Sidewalks/Walkways, and ability to assist with General Labour Duties on the Paving/Pavement Maintenance Crew;
  • Ability to work a variety of Shifts for the remainder of the Winterincluding days, evening, overnight, weekends, & holidays, including extended hours. Once the transition to our Paving/Pavement Maintenance Season has commenced, hours are generally Monday
  • Friday, with start times between 6AM 8AM, and hour Shifts dependent on business demands;
  • 2 Pieces of Valid, Governmentissued Photo Identification, in additional to a Valid Ontario Social Insurance Number;
  • Legallyentitled to work for payment in the Province of Ontario;
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
