**Job Summary**:
We are seeking skilled Equipment Operators to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, dig, build, pave, and perform various tasks on both Commercial & Residential sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires demonstrated knowledge and the ability to operate equipment such as Skid Steer Loaders, Mini-Excavators, Asphalt Compaction Rollers, and Asphalt Spreaders with precision and expertise. Equipment Operation duties will also be coupled with some General Labour duties. _**This is not an entry-level Position. You must have minimum experience of demonstrated operation of a Skid Steer Loader to Load & Unload Materials onto/off of a Tri-Axle Dump Truck, with the ability to Excavate in-place Materials and Spread & Grade Aggregate with same.**_

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain Asphalt Paving Equipment, including but not limited to: Asphalt Spreaders, Rollers, and Skid Steers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment functionality and identify potential issues.
- Assist with the loading, unloading and securing of Equipment on Float Trailers.
- Excavate and Load in-place materials to prepare areas for Asphalt Paving.
- Load, unload, move & grade Aggregate & Asphalt in preparation for Paving.
- Utilize Compaction Rollers to Finish Roll newly-installed Base Aggregate & Asphalt.
- Operate Asphalt Spreader to install Hot-Mix Asphalt according to project specifications.
- Follow Project Plans & Drawings to specifications to complete tasks.
- Coordinate with the Paving Crew to ensure smooth workflow and efficient project completion.
- Maintain a clean & organized work area, including interior of machines.
- Adhere to all Safety Protocols and regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively to address concerns/challenges that may arise.
- Assist with other duties on job sites as needed, including manual labour and equipment maintenance.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience operating Asphalt Paving Equipment, preferably in a Paving or Construction environment.
- Ability to read and interpret Work Orders, Job Specifications & Drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Preference given to those Applicants with a valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a Conviction-Free Driver's Abstract (minor Convictions will not exclude you from being considered).
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
