Orillia, Canada Windmill Garden Centre & Landscaping Full time

If you have some experience in the landscaping industry, enjoy working outside, have excellent team work skills and would like the opportunity to further a career in landscaping, this position is perfect for you. Experience is preferred but assessed on a one-to-one basis.

**Responsibilities include**
- Assist in the installation of landscape projects at residential and commercial sites including the installation of interlock walkways, retaining walls, steps and softscapes
- Assist in the completion of daily paperwork including equipment and vehicle checklists, work orders, and other required paperwork and documents
- Work cooperatively in a team environment
- With assistance from the landscape foreperson, operate various tools and equipment in a safe manner including stone saws, plate tampers and other small hand tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers and mini excavator
- Arrive to working with a positive attitude and willing to learn
- All other reasonable tasks as assigned by the foreperson or general manager

**Efforts / Working Conditions**
- This position requires you to work outside in varying weather conditions including rain and hot and cold temperatures.
- Employees must wear CSA approved steel toed boots
- Length of employment is from April to December annually (weather dependent).
- Able to work with job-related materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Some landscaping knowledge preferred
- Have a working knowledge of machinery and power tools.
- Capable of physically demanding work in a safe manner
- Follow instructions from the Crew Lead

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

- French not required

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Retention bonus
