What You'll Do - The Role (Responsibilities)

  • Sales & Business Development_
  • Be the point person for general incoming rental inquiries.
  • Work with potential and existing customers to promote and develop rental business and to rent the Company's products including:
  • Preparing, coordinating, and delivering timely and accurate proposals and quotations
  • Collaborating with colleagues to facilitate smooth execution of projects including planning, monitoring, logistics, installations, fueling, servicing & invoicing.
  • Coordinating, negotiating with vendors and subtrades as required to ensure successful projects e.g. rerent suppliers, electrical contractors, fuel companies, ESA, etc.
  • Actively pursuing and sharing information which will benefit the Rental team e.g. rental opportunities, names of upcoming projects, successful bidders, pricing feedback, etc.
  • Utilizing internal / external resources to assist in achieving these goals.
  • Attending site visits
  • Manage rental opportunities with the aim of achieving gross margins, utilization and revenue that exceed forecasts.
  • Regularly and accurately populate the company's business and contact tracking tools (CRM)
  • Develop and maintain a customer and prospect list.
- 'Cold Calling' functions

  • Attend industry events and association functions which the Company is a member of to develop new and existing relationships.
  • Proactively engage assigned accounts to uncover further quoting opportunities.
  • Provide regular and assertive follow up on outstanding quotes.
  • Provide reports and forecasts as requested on a timely basis.
  • Participate in companysponsored training programs.
  • Provide technical and sales assistance to colleagues and customers.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with this position and the job description and duties set out herein.
  • Work with others in the Company to grow, set and exceed Company objectives.
  • Take a proactive approach in resolving customer complaints and disputes
  • Proactively share sales and service opportunities with other departments.
  • Estimating_
  • Regular site visits to ensure you know the best way to approach and execute the project.
  • Read and interpret engineered specifications (when applicable) and create proposals for customers to meet 'tender' closing deadlines.
  • Take a proactive approach to estimating to maximize the company's chance for winning projects.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete Opportunity Log with supporting documentation.
  • Work with suppliers to obtain accurate information and pricing on any sublet products and/or services required for proposals.
  • Ensure that the right product is supplied to win the project.

What You Need (Requirements)

  • 23 years of previous sales experience in Rental or Electrical industry preferred.

Must be bilingual (French and English):

  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical theory and engines would be an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office modules and CRM.
  • Valid drivers' license in good standing and a reliable personal vehicle required.
  • A selfstarter and a team player who can work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Be a part of the Company's after hours on call schedule.
  • Be available for 'after hours' emergencies as required.
  • In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required.
  • Local travel and periodic travel away from L'ÎlePerrot
