One of Canada's leading distributors of woodworking materials is expanding the team and is looking for a COLOR MATCHING SPECIALIST to join the WOODCOATINGS DIVISION. This person is responsible to handle all matters related to various types of coatings; including but not limited to stains, primers, pre-cat, post-cat, urethanes, and water-based products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Custom Color Mixing proficiency Provide color matches services for customers – meeting rush requirements Maintain formula/recipe data base Support sales force with technical expertise and product application Strong wood finishing technical aptitude Familiar with viscometer, gloss meter, light box, film thickness meter, etc. for testing coating products Prepare samples Ability to lift to 50lbs. Responsible to maintain quality and safe work practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong knowledge of Woodcoatings Industry Aptitude for matching colors Good Color Vision High level of self-motivation, self-direction, and self-discipline Excellent written, verbal communication and strong inter-personal skills Good organizational and time management skills
