One of Canada's leading distributors of woodworking materials is expanding the team and is looking for a
COLOR MATCHING SPECIALIST to join the
WOODCOATINGS DIVISION.

This person is responsible to handle all matters related to various types of coatings; including but not limited to stains, primers, pre-cat, post-cat, urethanes, and water-based products.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Custom Color Mixing proficiency
  • Provide color matches services for customers meeting rush requirements
  • Maintain formula/recipe data base
  • Strong wood finishing technical aptitude
  • Familiar with viscometer, gloss meter, light box, film thickness meter, etc. for testing coating products
  • Prepare samples
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs.
  • Responsible to maintain quality and safe work practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of Woodcoatings Industry
  • Aptitude for matching colors
  • Good Color Vision
  • High level of selfmotivation, selfdirection, and selfdiscipline
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
