Decarbonization Program

Document and Data Management Support

(Permanent Position)

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Understand the policies, protocols, and workflows for data and document management at the cluster level.
  • Support of documentation access and data management within the cluster.
  • General quality of documentation (doc creation, storage and workflow) at the cluster.
  • Support the Document & Data Management Lead on interfaces with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) and Integrated Program Team.

Accountabilities:

  • Documentation and data management:
  • Anticipate milestones and coordinate work with the program teams to support meeting document exchange timelines.
  • Ensure document management throughout project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with EPCM & Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) documentation and data management teams to drive integration and flow of relevant information by easing documentation storage, access, communication, review and validation
  • Interface management:
  • Support EPCM and attend interface meetings in the interface management of OEMs/vendors.
  • Escalate interface management topics
  • General quality of documentation of cluster projects (doc creation, meta data and storage policies, workflow maintenance)
  • Coordinate documentation and data management works within the program and standardization as much as feasible
  • Oversight of EPCM, OEMs, etc. regarding documentation and data management

Education & Experience:

  • Accredited three or four year degree in applicable Technical field of study is required.
  • 3+ years of experience with documentation and data management in capex projects is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of engineering transmittals/documents/drawing releases/version control is required.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Hexagon document management is considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of how to use standard software tools (Office 365, SharePoint, MS Teams, Work Management Software, Microsoft Project, Drawing Management etc.)
  • Understanding of projects is an asset (project phases, controls).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex and technical environment.
  • Strong ability to integrate with and across teams.
  • Position requires business tool skills, work efficiency skills and professional competencies to work remotely or within the manufacturing operations environment as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with frequent plant visit
  • Personal protective equipment required to access industrial and construction environment.
  • Infrequent travel may be required.
  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work model which allows for remote work up to 2days per week.

Hours of Work:

  • Days, Monday to Friday, with extended hours as required due to special project commitments, equipment emergencies, and periods of peak workloads.
