& ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and work on bringing new capabilities to our manufacturing environment. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing mechanical systems and components that meet the specifications and requirements of our internal Operations team. You will also coordinate with other engineers, technicians, contractors and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the projects within the budget and timeline.

Your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following activities:

Manage project schedules, budgets, resources and risks and report on the progress and status of the projectsWork with engineering firms and contractors to design and build complex mechanical systems for use in productionPerform engineering calculations, analysis and simulations to design and optimize mechanical systems and componentsReview and prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports and documentation using CAD software and other toolsConduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components to verify their performance, reliability and safetyCollaborate with other engineers, technicians, contractors and stakeholders to ensure the quality and efficiency of the projectsYou will report directly to our Director of Manufacturing & Operations.

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineeringAt least 2 years of project management experienceProficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similarKnowledge of mechanical engineering principles, standards and codesExcellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsAlchemy is a fast-growing scale-up carving its own path in a rapidly expanding industry.
