About the Role

Maison Canada Holdings Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Design Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Inspection and Quality Control: Collaborate with our team to inspect mechanical installations and construction projects, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Design and Development: Assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems and components.
  • Tooling and Fixture Design: Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to support our manufacturing processes.
  • Testing and Analysis: Conduct mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to ensure their quality and performance.
  • Cost Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring we stay within budget.
  • Contract and Tender Preparation: Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications for contracts and tenders.
  • Standards and Scheduling: Develop and maintain standards and schedules for mechanical systems and components.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise maintenance programs and the operation of mechanical plants, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Equipment Testing: Test machines and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
