In this role, you will be responsible for financial modeling, performance analysis, and forecasting to support management decisions and resource allocation. The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, and offers full-time employment with a collaborative team.
What you will be doing daily:
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure budget plans are effectively implemented
- Providing valuable insights through Business Intelligence (BI)
- Monitoring performance, identifying opportunities, and managing risks
- Reviewing monthly and quarterly performance to ensure optimal resource management
- Preparation and analysis of forecasting reports
- Being adaptable, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing expectations
- Partnering with senior management on strategic financial analysis
- Forecasting profit and loss on a regular basis
- Understanding internal and external factors affecting performance
- Assisting in financial close processes and reporting results to stakeholders
- Preferably a CPA designation
- Experience in statistical analysis or working with large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Spreadsheet and ERP systems
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools
- Knowledge of variance analysis and Manufacturing Variance
