AVT Beckett Elevators is a fast-growing manufacturing company located in Pickering, Ontario. We are currently looking for an Experienced Punch Press Operator on the day shift. This is a full-time role that offers Medical and Dental Benefits after the three-month probationary period.

Must be reliable, responsible and be a positive individual that thrives on working in a fast paced environment.

Role:
Set up and OperateCNC Amada Punch Turret Presse for sheet metal manufacturing

  • Blueprint reading
  • Measuring of parts
  • Interpreting precise measuring instruments
  • Follow quality control procedures
  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
  • Read specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Document work completed
  • Clean and lubricate equipment
  • Support and Assist other machine operators as required
  • All other duties as may be assigned.
- capable of operating equipment safely and knowledgeable of machine safety features and emergency stops

  • Have a min. 3 years CNC punch press set up experience
  • Capable of performing work at acceptable efficiency levels
  • Experience in Machine set up and operation
  • Experience with precise measuring instruments along with imperial measuring tape
  • Experienced in Sheet Metal fabrication and understand gauges and materials
  • Safety conscious
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to check parts for conformance to acceptable limits
  • Organized and able to work independently
  • Able to read a tape measure to 1/3
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
