WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're on the hunt for a visionary leader to spearhead our Beverage and Food Team at the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel.

This is a permanent full time salaried position, for a minimum of 40 hours a week.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB

The Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel is Edmonton's latest alternative for individuals looking for a trendy upscale dining and Banquets experience.

Offering both traditional and locally indigenous menu options, HALO and our events are truly a unique dining experience that emphasizes urban culture with a modern flair.

The Director of Food and Beverage will be responsible for overseeing the whole F&B department, ensuring that proper execution in all areas of the department is up to the Renaissance standards.

As a Director of Food and Beverage, below will be some of your duties:

  • Plan, organize, direct and control the work of employees and supervisors in the Food & Beverage Department while ensuring exceptional service and attention to guests.
  • Channel your inner maestro to select, train, evaluate, motivate, coach, and discipline our Food and Beverage employees and supervisors in HALO Bar|Bistro, In Room Dining, Club Lounge, Banquets, and Kitchen, ensuring they reach new heights of excellence and passion.
  • With a flick of your finance wizardry wand, control labour and operating costs, boost revenues, and conjure innovative solutions to maximize profitability without compromising on food and service quality.
  • Exhibit warmth and hospitality, forging deep connections with our new and old guests and clients while ensuring their every need is met with charm and grace.
  • Join forces with our culinary wizards of Executive and Sous Chefs to concoct tantalizing menus and wine lists, ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
  • Weave a tapestry of clear and effective communication, fostering teamwork and synergy across departments to ensure seamless operations and unforgettable experiences.
  • Possess knowledge of banquet and event service operations, and overall hotel operations.
  • The ability to understand P&L statements, manage operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling.
