Manager, Operations - New Accounts & Client Documentation
What is the opportunity?
In addition, this position will hire, onboard, and train new team members as well as provide coaching, recognition and development for team members, fostering teamwork and planning for succession.
The position is expected to work under mínimal supervision, address escalated questions independently, seeking assistance from manager or other operations resources as appropriate.
What will you do?
- Liaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other operations departments, RBC business units, external customers, etc
- Considerable knowledge of Operations processes and procedures (e.g. provide good structure for the team to work within)
- Provide guidance to staff members on existing/new processes and procedures
- Accuracy of work, outline the controls in place that ensure processes are being followed correctly by all individuals on your team
- High degree of operational processing focus and meeting all SLA's (e.g. understands the prioritization workflow and any spike in volumes)
- Tracking and ensuring that all your tasks and functions performed within the team provide an accurate summary of the resource requirements within your team
- Mitigate operational/transactional risks through proactive measures conduct operations process oversight for the new accounts processes to ensure adherence to department procedures, and regulatory requirements are met
- Participate in business requirement development, UAT testing, enduser training, and implementation support for enhancements and new firm initiatives for changing technology systems supporting department processes
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Post-Secondary Education, preferably in business management
- Minimum 2 year of people and change management experience
- Solid knowledge of Operations processes and procedures
- Desire to lead others and manage day to day operations
- Results oriented, agile and have a desire to grow
Nice to Have
- Experience in Wealth Management Operations or Direct Investing is an asset
