Cygnus Design Group is a wayfinding and experiential graphic design firm dedicated to improving how people interact with the built environment. With offices across Canada, we create engaging, intuitive spaces for municipalities, hospitals, universities, cultural spaces, and mixed-use developments. Explore our work and mission at seeking a skilled Contract Administration Manager to lead the implementation of our wayfinding and design projects across Canada. Based in our Vancouver office, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' visions to life. This position oversees the contract execution phase, ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality that exceeds expectations. It also supports internal staff during other phases of work and has a dedicated role supporting projects in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Proactively manage project communication, responding to client and vendor inquiries, issuing site instructions, change notices, and coordinating RFIs. Vendor Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with signage production and installation vendors. Oversee sample and shop drawing reviews, attend site meetings, and conduct thorough deficiency assessments. Budget & Estimating: Contribute to accurate project budgeting and estimating throughout the contract lifecycle. Site Expertise: Conduct site and needs assessments to inform project implementation strategies. Design Support: Modify existing design drawings and produce additional documentation while upholding the established design intent. Wayfinding Strategy: Develop and refine location plan and message schedules for comprehensive wayfinding programs. Team Coordination: Collaborate with construction, architectural, and consultant teams, as well as internal Cygnus staff, ensuring seamless project execution. Coordinate with Cygnus staff to verify design intent, uphold project requirements, and communicate project status.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience: 3+ years in a construction project management role or working with multi-consultant design teams. Education: Degree/diploma from a recognized university or college in graphic design, interior design, industrial design, architecture, or a related design field. Signage/Wayfinding Knowledge: Direct experience or formal training in the signage & wayfinding industry is preferred. Design Acumen: A strong eye for visual and industrial design, creative problem-solving, and an appreciation for exceptional user experiences. Organization & Communication: Exemplary project management skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication. PMP or similar accreditation is an asset. Multi-tasker: Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Skills

Essential: Proficiency in Mac OS, G Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite. Valued: Familiarity with Autocad, BIM, and construction management software would be a significant advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary : $55, - $75, CAD (commensurate with experience) Benefits: Supplementary health and dental benefits after a 3-month probationary period.
