How you will contribute
You build pallets for shipping as products come off of the production line.

As a Palletizer you will:

  • Receive, stack, and build up product boxes on the pallet for shipping as they come off the production line
  • Ensure the correct pattern is used for the product being palletized.
  • Ensure date codes are correct on each box being palletized.
  • Ensure each box has the proper weight.
  • Once the pallet is fully built up, scan the pallet for storage/shipping.
  • Follow all Quality Control & Lead Hand instructions regarding the product.
  • Use the hand pump to move full pallets for pickup and storage by warehouse/shipping & receiving staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will make you successful

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions in English.
  • Solid knowledge & understanding of bar/product codes is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferably food manufacturing would be an asset
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 25 Kg
  • Ability to work rotating shifts is a must

Work schedule:
Two-week rotation of days, evenings, and nights. Monday to Friday.

Physical Demands

  • You will stand/sit for long periods of time.
  • You will engage in frequent bending, stooping or squatting.
  • Due to the environment, you will work in various weather and temperature conditions which include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
  • You will work in tight or enclosed spaces.
