The Employment Facilitator is responsible for supporting employment program participants to secure and maintain meaningful employment, by developing and facilitating engaging and impactful pre-employment workshops.


Key duties include:

  • Engaging with individual and groups of participants to create a meaningful and customerfocused experience.
  • Develops engaging and relevant workshop curriculum in alignment with ODG service standards and values.
  • Facilitates employment readiness and job search workshops, supports participants in their job search journey through workshop activities.
  • Supports participants in job search activities, provides expertise in labour market information and job search strategies.
  • Researches and develops appropriate jobsearch aides and tools.
  • Completes relevant reporting and program administration requirements.

Required experience, qualifications, and competencies:

  • Diploma in Adult Education or similar
  • Recent and relevant experience of 2 or more years in group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and adapt to shifting priorities.


As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Open Door Group must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Proof of vaccination status will be required.
