This is a career opportunity for a residential mortgage professional to make their mark for a rapidly growing alternative mortgage lender within British Columbia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Your primary responsibilities are the origination of residential mortgages from mortgagebrokers, networking with mortgage professionals and being a positive brand ambassador with the broker community.
  • You will be the first point of contact for mortgage brokers, with the support of an underwriting, funding, and head office team.
  • Focus on generating "Near B" first mortgages within your assigned territory.
  • A drive to succeed, attention to detail and strong communication and presentation skills are crucial.
  • Working knowledge of underwriting, appraisals and overall understanding of the B.C. real estate and mortgage landscape.
  • Locating, educating, and developing business relationships with mortgage brokers.
  • Being a great brand ambassador by providing great service to mortgage brokers.
  • Identify, grow, and maintain key relationships with mortgage brokerages and brokers.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual business development plans and report weekly on your success in working towards the targets.
  • Create and manage a schedule of weekly meetings via Salesforce.
  • Weekly checkins with management to discuss wins, opportunities, and business needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a Mortgage Broker or submortgage broker license holder can be acquired before commencing employment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar brokerchannel role within any of the following: credit union, MIC, brokerage, bank, or private lender.
  • Selfmotivated, entrepreneurial selfstarter.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Personality of being a hunter, connector, and relationship builder.
