Social Worker (Independent Contractor)

Peel Region - Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon

Flexible Caseloads to meet your work/life balance

(full-time & part-time)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Consultation, recommendations and interventions to clients in their home using evidence based best practice.
  • Assess psychosocial needs of clients and their families in response to illness/changing care needs and their related ability to adjust and/or cope.
  • Counsel clients and their family members concerning identified problems.
  • Counsel clients and their family members concerning long range planning.
  • Provide shortterm therapy to clients and family members.
  • Problem solve in collaboration with client and care team to create opportunities for more independence.

Education and Experience:

  • Master of Social Work Degree from a recognized university.
  • Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
  • At least two (2) year's clinical experience, preferably in the community, is preferred.
  • Specialized courses to support areas of clinical expertise.
  • Knowledge of community care requirements and resources available.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Utilize an evidencebased to achieve clientcentered outcomes.
