The Social Worker specializing in Employment Based Programs will focus on providing single session therapy, counseling, and leading group sessions to enhance the social development and emotional growth of youth and their support systems.
To succeed in this position, you will:
- Collaborate with all team members in the Employment and Community unit
- Provide expert assessment and treatment services to youth
- Develop, execute, and assess treatment plans tailored to individual member needs
- Engage in self-reflection and continuously assess the effectiveness of strategies
- Work with other professionals and community resources to ensure quality service delivery
- Offer case management and group services as required
- Maintain detailed case records and data promptly
- Establish effective relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- Support anti-oppressive and anti-racism principles
- Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement
You bring:
- University degree in Social Work or Psychology, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years related experience
- Membership in good standing of relevant professional associations
- Understanding of trauma-based counseling, human trafficking, and harm reduction philosophies
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule, including evenings
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity principles
