The Position:


In support of the Vision, Mission and Values of LutherCare Communities, and with funding from Canada Summer Jobs, we are seeking a Summer Administrative Assistant to join our team.

This position will provide administrative support to the Chief People Officer (CPO).

This position is only available to youth who:

  • is between the age of 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
- is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;

  • International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

The Applicant:
This position will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Chief People Officer that includes:

  • Schedule management
  • Creating and setting up meetings
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Payroll/timesheet administration
  • Developing meeting agenda's and taking meeting minutes
  • Drafting and circulating business correspondence
  • Project work (including utilizing MS Excel to work with data and statistical tracking)
Applicants would typically have a grade 12 education and have a valid class 5 driver's license.

Enrollment in a post-secondary program is preferred, Must have sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position as outlined.

Applicants must have good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
