Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on HRrelated matters.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new employees.
  • Monitor and enhance employee retention strategies.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and develop action plans based on feedback.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management practices.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve employee performance and productivity.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular market analyses to ensure pay equity and competitiveness.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits and programs.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop comprehensive training programs.
  • Promote continuous learning and development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee leadership development initiatives and succession planning.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare required reports.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

Organizational Development:

  • Drive organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational design and workforce planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 58 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 34 years in a senior HR leadership role in educational sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective HR strategies.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HRrelated software.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
