Position Overview:

The Role of Product Compliance Analyst involves providing support for product regulatory compliance to operational sites and the commercial team. This support includes branch-level product compliance, regulatory approvals, and ensuring compliance with specific product regulations. Additionally, the individual will contribute to implementing strategies to continuously improve regulatory compliance programs. This role requires close collaboration with Regional Regulatory Managers to collectively support field operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor global chemical control regulations to assess their impact on company products and ensure compliance in relevant regions.
  • Participate in reviews of new products and analyze regulatory implications of proposed new or modified products.
  • Conduct product regulatory reviews within workflows and SharePoint.
  • Offer regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders on chemical regulatory matters and contribute to developing company policies to address relevant issues.
  • Review customer compliance forms.
  • Conduct product regulatory reviews to optimize warehouse operations and site consolidation.
  • Create Training Documentation.
  • Provide SAP/Product Compliance Training.
  • Handle requests for REACH OR code certificates from vendors.
  • Address and respond to inquiries from various department mailboxes.
  • Update customer forms.
  • Review customer accounts to identify classifications for removal.
  • Assist with program audits.
  • Support Subject Matter Experts with reports and data collection.
  • Develop outreach communications for internal program updates.
  • Generate and submit Annual Federal Government Reports.
  • Annual DIN Registration.
  • Perform any other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Toxicology with relevant experience in chemical management.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or polymer industries with expertise in associated regulatory issues, including WHMIS2015, TDG, CEPA, and Health Canada regulations.
  • Familiarity with the SAP EHS module is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication of complex issues to upper management and non-technical individuals.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor by problem-solving, developing action plans, and providing recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and educational levels.
  • Proficient in managing complex workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint, and other interfaces (Tableau, SAP, etc.)
