About the Job:

Key Activities Include:

  • Assist in the launch and management of Momiji's raffle fundraisers.
  • Create and curate content for the internal newsletter "Momiji Matters" and write articles for external publications like Nikkei Voice, Bluffs Monitor, and JCCC Newsletter.
  • Lead Momiji's social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, crafting engaging posts and ensuring website updates.
  • Develop promotional materials such as posters to boost awareness about Momiji's fundraising events.
  • Provide assistance to the Manager of Communications and Development by attending and recording minutes during Fundraising Committee and Event meetings.
  • Collaborate with various teams to devise effective fundraising strategies and projects.
  • Fulfill any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor.
  • Attend staff or committee meetings as designated.
  • Perform light lifting or physical activities as required.

Key Requirements Include:

  • Proficient English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, website design, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Japanese Canadian culture (an asset).
  • Solid grasp of social media dynamics and strategies.
