Position DescriptionThe IORA will have a dual role of producing Global Operational Reporting and Yardi Controllership Support.

In the Global Operational Reporting production capacity, the IORA will take the lead in managing regional property reporting, responsible areas of external reporting, leading the annual budgeting process and ad-hoc property and corporate analysis requirements.

In the Yardi Controllership Support capacity, the IORA will lead the management of Yardi processes, Legal Entity structures including new module implementation.

In addition, the IORA will take a lead role in supporting the management of reports and operational reporting from Yardi for all modules and regions.

Key Responsibilities - Global Operational ReportingSupport VP and Property Controller Review monthly/quarterly submissions from global regions to identify issues, summarize and consolidate results.

Support preparation of quarterly regional board packages and relevant MD&A disclosures.
Lead and coordinate the annual global property budgeting process, training, and reporting.
Support Corporate Accounting Design and present solutions to Legal Entity changes in Yardi for consideration.
Assist with internal controls audit and documentation of controls related to the Yardi environment.
Ad hoc reportsSupport Regional Corporate and Property Accounting with one-off reporting, including: Statutory Operational reporting (MPAC, AIF, MIC etc.)


Leasing Activity reportingAny other special and periodic reportingKey Responsibilities - Yardi Controllership SupportActively manage, with IT collaboration, Yardi user account setup, deactivation and menu, permissions, and user security matrix.

Field requests for Yardi GL accounts and manage the NW Chart of AccountsField requests for creation of new legal entities and propertiesField, and appropriately re-direct, requests for workflow or process changesTroubleshoot regional Yardi operational process issues as they ariseAssist with implementations of new modules (fx translation, intercompany, consolidation, business intelligence)Coordinate with IT to field requests for new reportsCoordinate with all regions to review existing reports to:

Delete redundant reportsUpdate specs on existing reports to facilitate running in Yardi 7Standardize reports across regionsKnowledge, Skills and Experience RequiredDesignated CMA/CPA/CGA or in process.3-4 years of Commercial Real Estate Accounting Experience in either Property or Corporate accounting roles.2-3 years of extensive Yardi Voyager 7S user experience.

Fluent in MS Office applications with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven advanced Excel experience.
Fluent in creating and modifying presentations in PowerPoint.
Proven organizational, planning and time management skills.
Relationship builder with proven work ethic.
Ability to exercise flexibility and judgement in a dynamic environment.

Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form with team members at all levels within the global organization.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment on larger projects or independently.
