Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Preparation of annual audited financial statements
  • Preparation of Annual Report for shareholder and regulatory authorities
  • Preparation of unaudited Quarterly Reports for shareholder and regulatory authorities
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements for management and internal purposes
  • Preparation of tax returns for all Companies in the consolidated group
  • Interfacing with taxation authorities
  • Formulating the appropriate Corporate accounting policies and ensuring they are applied in conformance with IFRS
  • Staying abreast of all current accounting pronouncements and incorporating them into the Company's policies where applicable
  • Interfacing with both the external auditors and the audit committee
  • Preparation of annual operating budgets and analysis of results against budget
  • Analyzing corporate financing needs and recommending solutions to senior management
  • Special projects as requested
  • Assisting other Corporate departments

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary degree in Business, or a related discipline
  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA CA)
  • Membership in good standing with a Professional accounting body
or more years of related experience with progressive responsibility

  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Analytical, problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to use a computerized accounting system, with skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database software and accounting software
  • Respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team, and get along with other people
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
