Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Coordinator to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial and statistical reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and other ad hoc reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and other ad hoc reports.
  • Import and process data from external sources into the general ledger, including manipulation of source data as necessary.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, administer, maintain, and provide front-line support/training for financial application software.
  • Ensure MIS guidelines are followed for the creation of new cost centres and general ledger accounts, and participate in implementing modifications as required by changing reporting standards.
  • Perform account reconciliations and prepare quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements, as well as year-end audit files.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the last 5 years in a computerized accounting environment, preferably within a large, complex organization.
  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Must have or be in the process of achieving a CPA designation.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer-based financial information systems, such as SAP, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and methodologies is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) is required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Standards for Management Information Systems (MIS) in Canadian Health Service Organizations is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and complete work in a clear, concise, accurate and timely manner in order to meet changing deadlines.
