Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, Information Management and Technology, you will oversee the accounting function of the department.

Year-end financial reporting, reconciliation of accounts, ensuring year-end entries are completed
Overseeing budget reporting, quarterly monitoring, and projections
Supervising the budget and accounting team
Financial monitoring and reporting

Responding to inquiries for financial information from various parties such as Department of Finance and Treasury Board, Office of Auditor General, Statistics Canada, etc.

Overseeing the Public Accounts process including analysis and reporting
Implementing and overseeing controls and management of revenue

Office location:
Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m.- University degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance and administration including a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
Written and spoken competence in English is required
Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA )
Use of Oracle and advanced Excel
00 bi-weekly (Pay Band 5)
