ROLE OVERVIEW:


Account Managers supervise programs of various sizes and the interdisciplinary teams involved in program development and implementation.

The Account Manager serves as a client advocate and collaborates with internal departments to ensure client requirements are comprehended and met.

You may contribute to pitching programs, day-to-day program management, resolving client obstacles, gathering and analyzing data, and enhancing the overall client journey.

To excel in this role, you need outstanding communication and analytical skills. You must be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and well-organized, with the capacity to establish strong relationships with clients. This position currently offers a Hybrid work format, with 2 days in the office required at our Salt Toronto Head Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Client Relations Building strong client relationships based on trust and respect Executing projects with excellence on behalf of clients, ensuring exceptional results Production & execution activities may take place in the field or office, varying by program Communicating with clients to grasp their needs and relaying information to your direct manager and/or team Staying updated on client products and services Identifying and reporting on industry trends Gathering and analyzing data to understand consumer behavior before and after programs Acting as a representative of your client during planning, execution, and wrap-up phases – always prioritizing the client.

Team Collaborating with internal Salt departments to meet client needs Collaborating with your manager to establish a team of executors for support as needed Training, leading, and managing Brand Ambassadors, Coordinators, and/or Account Executives (depending on program & team) Keeping your manager informed of activities, client updates, and seeking support when necessary Financial Understanding the agency pricing model Creating budgets for small, medium & large programs Reconciling program budgets of all sizes; maintaining close communication with the finance team as necessary Remaining within budget in all situations and recognizing when a budget may be insufficient, communicating this to your manager Reviewing budgets with clients, offering a detailed breakdown and pricing rationale Supporting business growth efforts to achieve objectives Business Operations Overcoming challenges and suggesting process improvements Supporting Salt teams and committees to foster a positive culture and test/implement new policies, processes, and procedures Assisting your team with projects that benefit the client or Salt on a daily basis EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: - 5 years' marketing experience, including executing experiential programs for clients Experience collaborating with cross-functional and integrated agency teamsAutomotive industry experience seen as a bonus, not mandatoryOutstanding verbal and written communication skills Adaptability and effective problem-solving skills Experience managing program budgets Excellent active listening skills Presenting to internal and external teams skillfully Building connections and collaborating internally and externally Demonstrated organizational & project management skills Understanding of consumer behavior and industry trends Strong foundational technology skills – familiarity with O365, social & digital media Passion for marketing and partnerships SALT'S VALUE Salt of the Earth: We aim to be decent individuals.
