Department Overview


The newly formed APS Team will offer services from Montreal as part of the IT Production client platform and is looking for suitably a qualified analyst.

These services range from providing technical and functional assistance to the supporting projects and deliveries.

The Team will have focal attention of the Regional Management and its success is crucial for the Business.

Position Summary:
Diagnosing and resolving incidents

Answering user requests

Monitoring production environments

Ensure daily communication & transition with teams from other time zones


This position implies On Call Duties, to cover for eventual incident that may occur during the weekends, bank holidays as a level 2 for other locations.


It also encapsulates Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request and Release Management as part of the Service Management catalogue in line with the defined Standard Operating Procedures.


Required Technical knowledge:
Expert knowledge in SQL queries (Sybase T-SQL mandatory, Oracle PL/SQL would be an advantage) and DBMS concepts (Sybase Replication Server would be an advantage)

Expert knowledge experience of working in Unix environments and Shell scripting or Windows

Good knowledge experience of working in MacOS environments

Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, C,.Net, VBA, APS.Net, Java, 4D) would be an advantage.

Knowledge of Excel macros would be an advantage

Knowledge of Schedulers (Autosys, Control M), ETL tool (Datastage WTX) and file transfer tools (CFT) would be an advantage.

Investment Banking / Capital markets knowledge

Nice to have:
Mac knowledge

Personal attributes

Knowledge and experience of Investment service industry

Good knowledge on Mutual funds Administration

Knowledge of data collection and analysis in a large and complex/diverse environment, including relevant qualifications or experience, would be an advantage

Knowledge on Performance Breakdown and Attribution calculation would be an advantage

Good interpersonal skills and team player

Required Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience

Good French verbal communication skills are a plus, fluent English communication is a must
