The Opportunity
- Fieldwork and coordination for Environmental Site Investigations;
- Preparing and adhering to sitespecific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, WSP's clients, employees, and the public
- Planning and conducting soil, groundwater, soil vapour and surface water sampling using a variety of techniques;
- Overseeing soil hydroexcavation and drilling contractors including soil classifications and groundwater monitoring well installation;
- Working with contractors to oversee test pitting, excavation, surveying, utility locating work;
- Overseeing remedial contractors including directing remedial excavations, waste tracking, and progress reporting
- Using appropriate technology and equipment to collect field data;
- Compiling, analyzing, and reviewing data to develop a conceptual model of site characteristics and interpreting nature and extent of contamination;
- Conducting environmental monitoring during construction to document adherence to environmental protection measures;
- Traveling for fieldwork;
- Preparing and coordinating project documentation, subcontractors, and equipment for field programs
- Filing and managing all projectrelated field notes including some data entry and assistance with report preparation
- Performing and recording work tasks as requested efficiently and accurately while adhering to current industry standards and regulatory requirements

- A completed college diploma or university degree specializing in environmental science or a related discipline;
- Previous experience with soil and groundwater sampling is a requirement
- 05 years of relevant experience;
- Logical thinking and ability to bring practical solutions to field challenges;
- Attention to detail in the completion of projectcritical documentation;
- Strong organization skills and the ability to schedule multiple tasks within set deadlines for various stages of projects, including field work and reporting;
- Selfmotivated and able to work independently or in a team environment;
- Strong awareness of health and safety issues and a safetyconscious attitude;
- Active enjoyment of outdoors, in all seasons and weather;
- Have a valid BC drivers license.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $46,500 to $79,000
