Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of designers, makers and healthy and active citizens.


In this STEM/STEAM After School Program Instructor role, you will be responsible for delivering our popular, K-7 after school programs in elementary schools across the Lower Mainland, BC, including Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Richmond, and Vancouver.

Most of our after school program sessions are between 1 and 1.5 hrs. You will be compensated for four hours per session to take into account preparation and some commute time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging STEM/STEAM after school program sessions using our curriculum
  • Preparation in advance of your sessions. We provide all the curriculum.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment
  • Providing updates to our STEM/STEAM Community Engagement Manager and STEM/STEAM K7 Curriculum Lead

Nice to have:

  • Teaching experience, ideally at an elementary school grade level
  • Experience in the STEM/STEAM fields

Requirements:

  • Some experience teaching or working with children
  • Passion for teaching STEM/STEAM topics
  • Drivers license and car.
  • Criminal Record Check. We will provide details on how to get this and will cover the cost.
  • First Aid training. We will provide this training if you don't have it and will cover the cost.
  • Need to commit to teaching at least one season (Fall, Winter, Spring) and at least an average of two to three programs per week.
